Providing Community Sport and Fitness Activities in Upper Wensleydale, Richmondshire
Yorebridge Sport and Fitness provides facilities for a range of sports and fitness activities in Askrigg, in the heart of Wensleydale in the upper Yorkshire Dales.
Our out-of-town location and free parking mean you don't have to worry about battling through traffic to get here or trying to find a parking space when you arrive! And because of our favoured location, the views around are simply stunning - something more for you to enjoy at half time or after your game or exercise session!

Gym and Fitness Club
Our Gym and Fitness Suite has all you need to get fit, have fun and even try something new. Flexible membership including guest day passes are available.
We have a whole range of classes, from Step Aerobics to Gentle Exercise – something for everyone, regardless of age or fitness levels.
The Gym Suite hosts a range of specialist equipment designed to give a full body work out, specifically aimed at increasing fitness levels and toning the body. Cardio-vascular equipment includes treadmills, cross trainers, cycling and rowing machines. Resistance equipment, a selection of weight stations, free weights, gym balls, steps, boxing bags, resistance tubes, skipping ropes, trampolines and an ever increasing choice of items to keep your workouts varied.
The Fitness Studio comes complete with sprung floor, full length mirrors, dance bars and sound system. A programme of Fitness and Dance classes such as gentle exercise, aerobics and circuit training are available throughout the year and cater for all ages and abilities. You can also change in our individual shower rooms and unwind with a relaxing drink from our cafe area.
Our professionally qualified experienced and friendly team are here to help you get the most from your membership. Enjoy a personal one to one induction – the session lasts approximately one hour, depending on experience and guides you through the safe use of equipment. Take advantage of our free six weekly fitness reviews to provide support for you with your fitness programme. There are also plenty of opportunities to chat and discuss any queries to help ensure you always get the most from your fitness programme.

Yorebridge Sport and Fitness Games Area
In addition to indoor facilities, we have a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), which offers a versatile floodlit outdoor area for tennis, football, basketball, and much more. The facility is marked for:
- Two 5 a-side football pitches, with dividing net
- One 8 a-side football pitch
- Two Tennis courts, with dividing net
- Netball
- Two recreational Basketball baskets for shooting practice.

You don't have to be a member to make use of our games area or to take part in our fitness session, but members do benefit from attractive discounts. See details of prices and membership.
The MUGA is also available for private hire – ideal for children’s parties or a leisurely game of tennis on a Sunday afternoon!

On Saturday 23rd July 2011 we are holding a fantastic fundraising event in Askrigg Village Hall with the popular Irish band ‘The Blethermen’. Doors open at 7.15pm with a licensed bar and tickets are £10.
