Wensleydale 5-A-Side Football League
The first Wensleydale 5-a-side Football League at the Multi Use Games Area, Yorebridge, Askrigg has concluded and teams are been invited to register for the next set of games due to start May 2007. This venture came around after consultation with local community groups who wanted to see a League formed. Six teams took part and we hope more will join for the Summer League.
The League is open for everyone over the age of 16 and welcome applications from local pubs, football teams and individuals who may be interested in joining.
Matches are currently played on a Thursday evening between 6.30pm and 8.30pm with each team playing one match per week. Teams are affiliated to the Football Association, with official referees overseeing the games. Regular updates will be shown here so please check back on a regular basis. To enter a team please fill out the required paper work and return it with payment of £15.00 to the usual address in readiness for the next round. The ‘main contact’ with receive confirmation of a League place and all required information, ready for a mid-October start date.
