Sport & Fitness Activities for Adults

Everyone can benefit from becoming more active. Being more active is important because:
You will feel:
- Better about yourself. Being more active reduces stress and depression. It makes it easier to relax and helps you to sleep better.
- More energised. Being more active means you will have energy to spare and will cope better with the daily routines.
You will know:
- Your health is improving. Being more active can protect you against major health problems such as high blood pressure, obesity and heart disease.
- You look better. Being more active controls weight and makes you more agile.

Prefer to be outside?
Then start your day with a fitness session before work or school and exercise outside…whatever the weather! Using tyres, kettlebells and other equipment, increase stamina, fitness and strength with a shorter, more intense class to kick start your metabolism for the day and increase energy levels. Have a well deserved shower afterwards. |

Use steppers, gloves and pads, medicine balls and other equipment in an effective workout to increase CV fitness and muscle strength and tone. Work to your own level to get the maximum effect from the minimum time. |

Fitness Room
A conditioning class for the whole body which strengthens and realigns, improves posture and breathing and increases flexibility. Core stability (the abdominal/back area) is increased thereby giving protection from injuries and bad backs. |

Classes Description
Gentle Exercise for Over 50’s
A class for those who prefer a slower pace. The session aims to improve mobility, strength and flexibility and includes time for a chat over tea and coffee after the class!
Yoga
Help take the stress out of daily life with this yoga class that places emphasis on posture and relaxation. All levels welcome.
Dancercise
Up-beat exercise to music class for beginners/intermediate, designed to improve cardiovascular fitness and muscle tone.
Belly Dancing
Learn basic belly dancing in a fun and enjoyable environment whilst developing your coordination and helping you tone up.
Circuit Training
Circuit training is an excellent way to improve mobility, strength and stamina and involves completing a circuit of exercises to music. Ideal for those who enjoy exercising in a group environment at their own level. All levels of fitness welcome.
Box Fit
Box Fit is a fitness class designed to develop stamina, strength and promote weight loss. Using pads and gloves participants learn boxing and martial art moves partnered with aerobic routines to raise heart rates and promote fat burning. See the difference to your fitness levels in just a few weeks!
Step Aerobics & Body Toning
High intensity, low impact session designed to improve cardio vascular fitness, co-ordination and tone the whole body.
Bums & Tums
This class is designed to target those main worry areas by intense toning and shaping of the hips, thighs and bum. Mainly floor based.
Pilates
Series of gentle muscle strengthening exercises specifically for core strength muscles (back, pelvic floor and stomach). It improves muscle control, coordination, strength and tone as well as alignment and breathing and is therefore suitable for all ages and abilities and can particularly help those with back problems.

You can book the games courts any time that suits you on a 'Private Hire' basis. We can also put you in touch with other like-minded individuals who, for example, may be looking for a tennis partner or team to play with.
