Yorebridge Sport and Fitness Games Area is located on the outskirts of Askrigg village in the heart of Wensleydale in the Yorkshire Dales.
Free Parking & Disabled Access
There is free parking for 15 vehicles, with disabled access to the games area via a slight slope (no steps). There are four cycle bays.
How to get to Askrigg
By own transport
- From Leyburn and the east:
Take the A684 towards Hawes. At Wensley, turn right just before the Three Horse Shoes and continue past Preston-under-Scar, through Redmire, Carperby and Woodhall to Askrigg. Drive down the hill through the village, past the church. As you leave the village you will see Low Mill Centre on your right, and then Askrigg Primary School. The entrance to the sports facility is on the right at the end of the School grounds. - From Hawes and the west:
Take the A684 towards Leyburn. At Bainbridge turn left at the Rose and Crown, cross the bridge over the river (by the Yorkshire Dales National Park offices), then turn right at the T-junction for Askrigg. The sports facility is on your left as you enter the village of Askrigg.
By Bus
- The 156 service can drop off and pick up at the facility entrance on request.
