The YSDA Ltd. (Yorebridge Sports Development Association Limited) covers the Upper Dales area and is a new initiative based at the Wensleydale Centre providing Gym and Fitness opportunities and a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA) in Askrigg. The facilities are available to anyone who lives, works or is visiting the area.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and well motivated person to assist in the sustainable development of a range of physical activities designed to increase participation rates amongst user groups of all ages and encourage healthier lifestyles.
You should be keen to work in this exciting and challenging environment and be able to bring your own ideas and creativity to the post in order to achieve the highest standards, working within the appropriate legislative framework and policies determined by the YSDA Board and associated partners.
You should have some experience working in this field, particularly with various community groups, though enthusiasm, integrity and confidence in your own ability are equally important. Opportunities and support for your own personal and professional development may be available.
You will be expected to work on a flexible basis as the post requires. This will be through mutual negotiation as it is envisaged that some evening and weekend work will be necessary. Working hours will be subject to review. [Back]

We are looking for experienced (and preferably qualified to level 2) individuals to assist with the induction process for new members to the Community Gym and Fitness Club. You will be expected to follow induction materials and procedures, work in small groups or on a one to one basis, develop individual training programmes, complete required paperwork, assist in the improvement of the service by contributing to team meetings. We are currently looking for volunteers to work alongside our existing team. This may include volunteering in the gym, the office, helping out at a coaching or leading a session, distributing information or being part of our fund-raising team or management committee.
You do not need to be qualified as any necessary training can be provided (or identified). No matter how little time you think you may have available it may be just what we are looking for. In the interests of safety an interview, references and CRB (Criminal Records Bureau check) may be required before your role for the organisation e can commence. [Back]

Work Experience
We welcome requests for those wishing to gain experience in a number of fields from Office Administration to Coaching to working with a Voluntary Committee/ group. Directors
We welcome applications from members of the community who wish to be considered for a Directorship. We are especially keen to recruit individuals with Commercial Business experience and a range skills i.e. finance, marketing, health and safety etc. to help compliment our exsting team. We are a Limited Company without a share capital, general management meetings take place monthly with sub group meetings as required.
